ABOUT CENTRALIA
We are Superbolt Theatre, an international theatre company founded in June 2011 at the Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School in Paris.
Using a mix of comedy, dance, music and drama, Superbolt Theatre presents CENTRALIA.
The small mining town of Centralia, Pennsylvania, was once a thriving community of over 2000 inhabitants. But in 1962 a trash fire ignited an underground coal vein beneath the town. 20 years later the fire was still burning and the inhabitants of Centralia were forced to relocate. Nearly everybody left, but 4 people refused to leave their homes.
Following its hugely sucessful London run, Superbolt Theatre is delighted to announce Centralia tour dates:
Bristol, UK 20th-24th February at The Wardrobe Theatre, every evening at 8pm, www.thewardrobetheatre.com/

Superbolt Theatre Presents
CENTRALIA
In the 1960’s an underground coal fire was sparked by an accident. 20 years later the fire was still burning and the inhabitants of Centralia were forced to relocate. 4 people refused to leave. Inspired by this true story, our show looks into the lives of those individuals who chose to stay.
Using a mix of drama, dance, music, and comedy, this brave new play explores the relationships that can only be formed through this unique disaster.
"Everyone should see this show. It's a perfect mix of funny, intelligent and bizarre."
The piece lasts approximately 60 minutes.
